We visited one of the more famous clubs last September in Rome, Jerry Thomas, for inspiration for Teddy Roe’s. The concept of small cocktail bars patterned after Speakeasies began a resurgence in the early 2000s and can be found in major cities around the world. If smuggled booze wasn’t available, then clubs turned to home distillers who made moonshine or “bathtub” gin. borders (particularly Canadian Whiskey and Cuban Rum). The main sources of good spirits during Prohibition were smuggled from outside U.S. The bars had secret entrances, passwords - and depending on their source for spirits - drinkable cocktails. The name came from the admonition to “speak easy” when patrolling policemen passed. The private, illegal clubs were started as venues to gather and enjoy an illegal cocktail. It is inspired by the Speakeasies that flourished during Prohibition 100 years ago (1920-1933). We can transfer you to another date/ time if there is availability.Teddy Roe’s Bar is a small, intimate bar that will open on Monday, July 25 at 5:00pm. Tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis. Please note: 21+ years old after 6pm - children 5 and under are free of charge. This unique bar will be sold on a first come first serve basis with tickets limited and will only run for two nights so get them while you can.

This Pop-Up, is the first of its kind and will consist of over 1 million blocks, transported and assembled into the ultimate nostalgia trip.
